"Hi all, I have the Maxbotix LZ EZ-4, the one with the widest beam. Only afterwards i noticed a smaller beam was advised. Any ideas how the wide beam would negatively affect altitude hold in our application? Would it be usable ? Can the beam be tuned…"

The frame itself is a DIY construction around a 1mm thickness Aluminium center plate with crossed Alu U profiles underneath.
12mm round CF tubes hinge in those U profiles, this way the four arms are downward foldable for easy transport.
The electronics plates are also made from 1mm CF, cut with hand tools.
Power distribution is a heavy duty DIY double wire ring.
The frame hardware list for the moment (Still waiting on Hobbyking for those)
4x Turnigy 2217 1050Kv
4x Turnigy Plush 30A
12x3.8 APC props
Turnigy Nano-Tech 3s1p 5000 mah
Pictures and more details will follow ;-)
