UAV Meet-up / Flyin
Hi,
I was wondering if any DIYdroners' were interested in trying to arrange a meet-up / flyin in the UK - worldwide members welcome of course! The meet-up would increase the sense of community and give members a chance to compare notes, share ideas an
Which accelerometer would be better? BMA180 or ADXL345 for an AHRS
Currently working on an AHRS for my netduino tricopter and can't decide which accelerometer to go with, either the BMA180 from bosch http://www.bosch-sensortec.com/content/language1/downloads/PI6828-e(1).pdf or the well known ADXL345 http://www.analo

Having no RC background, I hope to get some answers on the following questions.
-How is the RC receiver powered in the Arducopter setup when following this . Is the receiver powered through the APM?
-I read that you have the choice of powering APM &

Hi,
will ArduPilot recover my glider from an "uncontrolled situation" ?
Hi All,
I am a total newbie...
2 weeks ago I met someone who uses an Autopilot. Since then I have been reading (daily) about what's on the market and what the systems do, but I have not seen one in action.
I want to install a safety net to return my r

I recently purchased the GS407 with the adapter from DIYDRONES. As the Arduino Mega doesn't come with the EM406 connector, I decided to use the 4 breakout pins instead (Ground, VCC, TX and RX). I am trying to receive raw NMEA data from the GS407 but

I've been recording the NMEA output from a MediaTek MT3329 GPS with the DIYDrones firmware, and I noticed that it seems 'pinned' when in a stationary position.
Most GPS receivers wander around as the many small errors in GPS cause some natural drift i

MT3329 default mode write protected?
Greetings,
I bought a couple of these for a project where I'm just using them with an XBee to send GPS info. While the default mode will work, I'd much rather change it to something more suitable. Unfortunately, it appears that the NV RAM has been wr

Hi,
Problem arming motors
Hello DIYDronians,I've been following the site for many months now, specifically the ArduCopter and related projects. With pretty much no experience in RC flying, helli's or quads I decided to jump in head first and build my own quad frame. Though I

PWM ESC's
Hi,
I am designing a QuadCopter based on the ArduPilot and just wanted to check that the ESC's which I require do not have to be I2C? They can be just standard off the shelf ones (PWM?). The I2C is a future feature, right? - I have seen some comments
Ardupilot- flying unstable planes?
Hi there,
Assume you have a not very well balanced plane. Let's say it is tailheavy and it is almost impossible to fly it manually.
Would Ardupilot be able to fly it? Would it be able to compensate fast enough so that to keep horizontal flight?
Thanks!
Fried 328 chip an APM board
