Profile Information

About Me:
Chris has over 7 years experience as both an MQ-1 Predator and advanced programs unmanned aerial vehicle pilot in the U.S. Air Force. His most recent experience has been as the chief of test operations for advanced program Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS). Chris has been involved in every aspect of operations as an instructor and evaluator pilot in both formal training units and combat squadrons. As a natural leader, Chris has been selected in previous capacities as the chief of training, scheduling, standards/evaluations, test operations, and has served as a weapons/tactics officer in other platforms. Enlisting as an aircraft electrical environmental specialist in the early 90’s gave Chris the military and aircraft experience that he was able to translate into his B.S. in Professional Aeronautics from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. He obtained his commission in 2002 and attended pilot training where he graduated with a flying assignment to McChord AFB flying C-17’s in 2003. With countless combat hours over both Iraq and Afghanistan, Chris decided that his skills could be used in a more diverse capacity. It was during this time he found himself transporting a previous CSAF who was stranded needing transportation from Riyadh back to Andrews AFB. Over the course of several hours the insight the CSAF passed on to the crew regarding the vision and future of unmanned systems enlightened Chris to volunteer for a career in Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs).
Please tell us a bit about your UAV interest
Chris is an accomplished entrepreneur with a long list of successful startup ventures that he has operated while in the capacity of an active duty Air Force pilot. His expert ability to manage time and tasks has allowed him to capitalize on his skills to follow his natural entrepreneurial spirit while still serving his country. Chris is an accomplished race car driver and currently holds the national record with a Nitro Fuel Altered in the International Hot Rod Association. Chris was previously the owner/driver of the “Pure Heaven” Nostalgia Nitro Funny Car / Fuel Altered racing team. He has recently transitioned into road racing and competes in the Corvette Challenge.

Chris’ diverse background in UAS operations and business entrepreneurial spirit is a natural precursor of success for the newly formed consulting group at UAS Business Solutions. Chris has a vision of future commercial unmanned systems and a teamwork philosophy that is guaranteed to promote success on any project.
