Peter, what was your final outcome on your X8?. Do you have any details of the setup anywhere I can look at? I just finished building my 8X coaxial quad frame and I am now looking how to set up the motor configuration on the software.How did you set up this for AD on the Mission planner software?
Also what was the best motor prop configuration you settled on? For efficiency I'm doing testing on using 1100kv motors for bottom motor and 850kv for top and with slightly larger prop on the bottom. Not sure how easy this will be for controlling the direction though. My line of thinking is the faster bottom prop will pick up the slower moving air from the top prop and give it extra push as well it having a slightly larger prop will pull more air from the side of the down air column. Just theory at this stage, but seem to be some merit in this from a few of my first tests on my rig. Any advise you can offer would be greatly appreciated.
