About Me:
I was flying R/C models way back in the 80's but married life and raising two kids the R/C models faded into the background. Fast forward to 2013 and my son (Mark) said he wanted to build an R/C model plane.

Google is amazing.

WOW Electric motors, foam model planes and now FPV !!!!

Now I get to go flying with my son. He was able to fly LOS in only a few hours. Next FPV
Please tell us a bit about your UAV interest
I am especially interested in fixed wing FPV (Skywalker) models. I did read a lot about solutions for RTH and decided to purchase a brand name and now I regret it. So I am scrapping my Nova and joining the ArduPlane open source project.

For me it's all about safety and I'm going to have more confidence flying with ArduPlane on board.

No, I gave up on the Linux version, it looks like extremely aplha yet. Let someone else do the heavy lifting and I 'll try it again in a few months, when I have more time.

Andreas if you get a spare ten minutes install these extra modules and it should compile on a stock Linux Mint 16. Believe me I am no expert I just searched the Internet to resolve the errors. It looks rather nice on Mint now my next problem is to get my antenna tracker working.

sudo apt-get install libqt4-sql-sqlite qt4-dev-tools libqtwebkit-dev libudev-dev libshiboken1.1 libpyside1.1 python-pyside.qtcore python-pyside.qtgui python-pyside.qtopengl libqglviewer2 libice-dev libsm-dev libxt-dev libxmu-headers  libxmu-dev libqt4-opengl-dev libqglviewer-dev
