I am puzzled by a very strange behaviour of APM on my SKywalker. The setup was perfectly tuned and I had done several photomapping grids. All settings were fine tuned and the turns were all smooth sharp and with no weaving.
Was installing the new Pixhawk on a plane and was using the 3DR power module to power the Pixhawk. I also have an ESC (w/BEC) and 4 servos to drive around. Now i noted that without the ESC connected the Servo rails were powered with the 3DR Powe
Forgive me for this but I have had some sort of brain hit. When I first began this adventure, I saw several good descriptions of the necessary hardware modifications to bring up the transparent serial bridge for telemetry on my Turnigy 9XR/Orange Ope
Probably being a little stupid but I can connect to the PIxhawk using mission planner and my TX controls calibrate without a problem so I assume the sbus connection from my RX to the Pixhawk is working fine (power going the other way is clea
I've been using a Canon SX230 HS on multicopters for mapping and vertical imaging. I think it does a great job and takes fantastic pictures....but it's heavy! At 220 grams it seriously shortens flight time over other, lighter, non-GPS cameras. I'd li
Hex displayed some alarming over-roll events tonight, when "snap" rolling - ie jab the sticks. Mainly because I'm still tweaking the PID's the last few percent.
However, it's only when "snapping" left. Add left stick progessivel
I have been using a DIY h-copter for supporting my social-ecological research in the Borneo. Just some days ago, due to my mistake on not checking the battery, the h-copter fell into the water and everything is wet. I try to unscrew everythi
I have recently installed a 5.8 Ghz video transmitter on my APM 2.6 quadcopter and ever since the loiter is rather shaky, doesn't hold good position, some jitter is visible on the copter , although stabilise mode still works well.
I recently flew a few autonomous missions with my hex (APM 2.6) and Droidplanner. The missions went great but the hex is flying low. I set the altitude to 5 meters and it looks like it was flying at about 2 meters high. Here is a graph of the sonar a
Hi all! Thanks for all of the help you have already lent me in getting started with my 3DR Y6.
The Pixhawk is looking for mode selection information to come to it via Channel 5, where it is finding my gear switch. How do I get Pixhawk and the DX7 t
I am working on a school project to test out different sensors doing obstacle avoidance using the APM 2.5 on a hexacopter. I have spent days searching for info on this subject and have come up with very little. I was wondering if anyone could give me
Hi. I am new to minimosd but have tried to research my question on forum but no luck so far. I would like to know how to get minimosd to show the battery "mah used" value and associated icon instead of the "%" value and lightning bolt icon. I have re
I'm trying to launch my hexacopter on a moving ship with the speed of 5knots. I keep on getting a bad gps pos error message. My hdop is below 2 and getting about 10-13 sat while monitoring in MP. Is this normal? I know the RTL will be in the water wh
Yesterday I decided to install my APM 2.0 board that I bought few years ago (never used) to my FPV plane. I downloaded mission planner, uploaded arduplane 2.78b firmware to APM board from MP, connection with USB cable worked without problems.
There may be a mistake in calculation of inertial navigation.
This issue I've posted on ardupilot.com forum on APM:Copter>>3.1, but so far there is still no replies, so I post it again here with the hope that someone can give me an explanation. In AP_I
Hi Guys iv looked and looked, so apologies if this has appeared else where.
With telemetry and GPS locked in I can see my quad while it is on the ground next to me and it drifts around very slightly as the GPS lock drifts so I know it must be updating
So I just received an Iris! but when I power up the controller and the iris the Controller does not connect to the iris? how do you re bind it to the controller. I think the TX and RX are flysky.
Howdy All I've been a list lurker for a while and I have to say I’m quite impressed with the projects on this site. Any way I thought I would open the account by asking for some advice on a medium sized UAV project.
