Okay in theory of course, could the ArduPilot fly a full scale helicopter?
Instead of servos, you could talk to the existing fly by wire of a helicopter (which then move the mechanical linkages). There would be no need to change any code or outputs
I am running APM using a separate power source(a 2S lipo) on the aux power lead(unsoldered SJ1 blob jumper). I have realized that if I disconnect power from this connection, I lose all control of the servos.
...to Australia without spending a fortune in shipping costs?
My APM IMU Z-gyro is, by the looks of things, stuffed and I would like to have a go at replacing it. (all other things being equal, the board is stuffed anyway...)
Looking for some suggestions to try and troubleshoot an interesting problem. I have a standard ArduCopter kit (the most recent version from the DIYDrones store, + GPS / magnetometer / sonar, but no telemetry) and am running 2.0.23. In addition to t
Okay so I have a quad with Arduino and an IMU. It in itself is a stable flying platform (theoretically, I haven't built it yet). What I want to do is send from a PC/Laptop RC signals to the Arduino on the Quad. Basically make it Fly-by-Wire* wi
I am having strange startup issues with my Quadcopter. When connecting the battery, some motors might start with their beep sequence as normal while others might have kickback. It is not always the same motors that produce these issues. Sometimes th
Basically for the IMU and Motherboard I am using (Arduino) I need to take the power from a 1000mAh 11.1v Lipo battery and convert it to a 3.3v power source for the boards. However, I also need this same battery to power four brushless motors
The APM 2.0 libraries can be run on the arduino Mega?I would like to connect the IMU-Shield Oil pan with the Arduino Mega for reading gyros and acel.So my questions is that, if the libraries to read the analog sensors can be used by the arduino mega?
After Jason's suggestion about checking balance and motor angles, My yaw weirdness seems to be solved. I just switched back from NG RC2 to 2.23 beta in + configuration (easier than converting back to x for now) and I test flew. What was critical f
Hello all,Seems to be a new version of the Razor IMU at Sparkfun using the ITG-3200 triple axis gyro. Has anyone had a chance to use it yet?Thoughts? Thanks,Serge
I have an APM with a Foxtrot IMU and my Z gyro has stopped working for the second time. The first time I sent it back to Jordi and he returned it saying all was good - nothing wrong with it. Well, that was a bit embarrasing - I though I was goi
Hello everyone, I am a new member to this site and to quadcopters. My experience in RC flying is a basic one, flying 3 channel indoor helicopters for the the last couple of years.I had seen videos of quadcopters and thought " these look amazing but I
I am new to this and got a working ArduPilotMega soldered together and flashed with the current APM release 2.1.2. Sensor output looks reasonable from the CLI test utility. I would like to hook up my APM on ground to qGroundControl (0.8.3-build24)
When I engage Alt hold the quad climbs a little bit and drops again, then goes up but a little further. Then goes down again and the distance keeps getting bigger.
I only use baro.
Which PID has influence on this vertical oscillation?
Hey all,I'm just getting started -- I've never flown an RC aircraft before, but I've got 3 months time off coming up and I want to dive in with both feet. I'm a professional programmer with a lot of Android experience, so I went to the San Mateo, CA
I have 2 quick question, I got a predator on his way 74" from Hking in which I ve planned to set up 2 x 5000mAh batteries that weight around 500gr each. ( Google says 500 grams = 17.636981 ounces )
