Just wondering if someone might know what's happening here.

I just got around to loading the AC2 code and reconfiguring my quad build after a few weeks away.

Before this I have been flying with the Ardupirates code with no problems.

PPM encoder is not rebooted by reset switch neither USB connection.

I've seen many times that when rebooting the board, or connecting the APM +5V rail when connected through USB, we can loose CH1 or 2 or 3 or 4 input.

This is caused i think by a PPM encoder crash because of noise or spikes on the +VCC rail.

Can I use the ArduPilot Mega as an Arducopter?

I guess it's the same board, but just wanted to be sure. When I was ordering it online, I had the option to choose a configuration (at udrones): fixed wing or quad. I chose quad. I added a 2 way telemetry kit (xbee), a magnetometer and an ublox GPS.

the apm boot up and after calibration the green LED is steady on (meaning it's armed)

but actually it is not armed, throttle doesnt work.
