Im a bit confused about altitude hold, its said you can do it with the barometer and not necessarily the gps. But how /what mode do you activate altitude hold to use barometer? Is it just gps hold but without gps it uses the barometer?
So I am using the red ardupilot board with the blue shield, and when I press upload in Arduino it just says uploading to I/O board and never stops.... no error or anything but never finishes. I have tried unplugging the GPS and I did go to the devic
Hello all! I have a lot of experience programming microcontrollers for motion simulators, robots, games, musical fountains, telecomm, among others and would like to help with the arducopter project, but I have never participated on a community pr
Hi, did the first flight today, it was very nice. I noticed that it drifted a bit even when the right stick was centered. Also noticed that in configurator it seems the value is right below center, is that normal or should I adjust my transmitter cen
During pre-flight testing I discovered the the rear motor wasn't functioning correctly.
The rear motor would power up with the other motors, but when forward cyclic command was sent, the rear motor should increase but it didn't. On disarming the mo
My name is Mike and I am currently working towards my M.S. degree in Aerospace Engineering at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. My thesis work involves demonstrating a new UAV swarm intelligence algorithm in RC scale aircraft and I've decided to impleme
I have an rc plane that I inherited. It's gutted and only came with the basic k&b .61 motor.Any suggestions on radio equipment? Its also got a 7ft wingspan and a fuselage around 6 ft.I was thinking a 5 or 6 ch futaba at 2.4 ghz
Hi everybody.I have started designing a quad frame and ordered parts to build an ardu-copter controlled quad.My design goals are1. Durability3. cost4. low vibration transfer.5. Should be made entirely from laser cut flat ABS sheet (because of my skil
I'm a reporter with NPR. I am doing a story about commercial applications of drones. Is anyone building or experimenting with drones for commercial application?
Is anyone building drones in the L.A. area and would allow me to come and visit and int
I am a new player in UAV. Currently doing a project. I have a Spektrum DX6i transmitter and the aux switch is a 2 way on-off switch. From the information on UAVDevBoard V3, a 3 way switch will be the best way to change it's mode to eith
I soldered it on my Oilpan as instructed, now I run the test from APM libraries and it work so far, but, can't get a Z reading, it's always the same value!
So, Do I have broke it when I separate the little useless part with my plier ?
I take no credit for this project other than stumbling across it on Engadget.com.
Someone apparently rigged up a tricopter for a sort of missile defense, augmented reality video game using hydrogen balloons, fireworks, and a slew of tricks with the co
i loaded the new RC2 code. Ive flown my quad using the RC1 code fine. anyways after loading RC2 code and attaching an xbee. i went into the Configurator to set up my rc transmitor several things happened.
I did the cli configuration of the escs and was then able to run all the motors with the throttle stick on the transmitter. Also tried the motor test and all the motors worked correctly when moving around the yaw stick. After unplugging the usb and s
