I am buying the ArduPlane and my question is are all the tools such as software provided so I can fly autonomously? I am a beginner with this platform but have some pilot experience in Autonomous flight with other systems.
Is it possible to disarm the arduplane after it has landed using the transmitter only?
The reason i would find this useful is , i usually land into long grass about 100 metres from where i took off and what i find is that while walking to the plane it
We seem to be getting a “geo-fence setup error” when turning on the fence since the last arduplane firmware upgrade. We have tried reloading and reading and creating new fences.
Anyone an expert in using the MicroPilot platform for surveys? I'm going to be working on a survey project this summer and I want to take out the flight controller upgrade it with the Pixhawk. I haven't really dealt with fixed-wing's or this particul
I just wanted to give a little background on our team, CUAir, Cornell’s Autonomous Aerial Vehicle team. We compete in the AUVSI SUAS competition (more information here). We’re a group of 50 interdisciplinary students working on everythin
Does anyone know how I could go about disabling the automatic disarming of the board? Dont mind building new firmware if someone can point me in the right direction on what to modify in the source

My son and I have been working on this UAV for year. We started by designing a foam model and then glide tested it, then started adding to it, servos, power plant, APM 2.5, GPS, rudder yaw damper system. It's been a work in progress. The plan
Have my Pixhawk with ArduPlane and gps neo-n8m. After every start Pixhawk logs his trajectory to card in .bin format. try something to change in mission planner but it still logs in bin. Can I somehow configure Pixhawk save also u-blox format (
I'm trying to come up with a safe procedure to accurately determine stall airspeed for a plane with an airspeed sensor and ardupilot logging. Any feedback on this technique?
I'm a complete beginner with zero experience in building planes and in the process of learning (via youtube/and this forum). My first project is going to be a skywalker X5, all parts are ordered and in the house.
I am testing my new E384, a fixed wing Skywalker airframe, in the Mission Planner Simulator and am having problems with getting it to work. I follow the instructions set out in the YouTube video "How to Setup X-Plane 10 Flight Simulator to
I've been reading over the ArduPlane 3.2.1 code trying to dig out the difference between the airspeed_cruise_cm and throttle_cruise parameters manipulated by DO_CHANGE_SPEED while flying waypoints in AUTO. Is there a rule of thumb in setting these t
I've been reviewing tlogs from a recent outing and I am having difficulty finding evidence of the crabbing I observed while the aircraft was in auto flying waypoints.
Between VFR_HUD.heading, ATTITUDE.yaw, and GLOBAL_POSITION_INT.hdg, I'm not seeing w
I was wondering if it was possible to perform servo mixing on the arupilot when running a plane. For example if I had a dual rudder configuration and I wanted to put one input channel and have two input channels with appropriate throughputs and
I burned Arduplane 2.77 code into APM 2.6 board using Arduino IDE 1.0.3. then using the latest Mission Planner I tried to connect the board to the GCS. the error recieved is "No heartbeat packets received".
I am a newbie in this field and would like to get some help related to the PILS setup.
I have been burning 2.68 code into APM 2.6 board and performing PILS and no error was got. But the same was done for 2.77 code and I am getting "disarmed" & " Bad G
To be able to help test ArduPlane firmware I have been putting together a RMRC Anaconda twin boom pusher R/C Plane Link. The Anaconda is not an acrobatic air frame and is designed more for endurance flying with the capability to stay in the a
