Bart commented on Jeff Taylor's blog post Bluetooth Telemetry Bridge Now on Kickstarter
"@Jeff No wifi or browser was involved in the bridge we worked on (perhaps that was something else at 3DR?). The bridge prototype we built was a bluetooth to XBee bridge."

"@Arthur
Scott Plunkett actually had a near ready product back in 2011 (developed separately and in parallel to the little box I made). We actually collaborated at the time with 3DR staff, with Scott providing his electrical layouts (August 2011, I…"

Hello all,I have built an v-shaped octo-copter, with a 5000mah, 35c, 3s battery, 12gauge wire running from the center out to the arms, where I split the 12 gauge into 4 smaller gauge wires to go to the escs.I have 10x45props with Motor…

Bart replied to Bart's discussion V Octo Copter
"More testing, I can get it up to 6' now, but as soon as I touch a roll pitch yaw stick, I plummet. All the pops were fine.
Especially yaw, I end up with half the motors at 1200us output, and the other four at 1800. Have to see what could be causing…"

Hello all,I have finally, finally finished building my octo, and had two test flights. Or rather, hops.I have 10x45props with Motor AC2836-358, 880Kv from 3DRobotics. At the time, they were specified to provide 433grams of lift at 50% and 1095grams…

-"as part of" does not tell us what part of 20m went towards these things.
-"has been developed" suggests a…"

Bart commented on Bart's blog post Copter-GCS: Android ground station for ArduCopter
"@luca
I have much of the USB stack working on copter-GCS, but cannot do that last (small) bit without a tablet and some debugging.
Work is nuts, but at some point (months), once I buy a tablet, I can tie in the USB. All my projects have been frozen…"

Bart commented on Bart's blog post Copter-GCS now supports MAVLink
"@Jani,
The correct protocol is MAVLink using version 9 on arducopter 2.6.
Someone has tested the app for me using MAVLink 1.0, but I cannot do so myself yet, as I am still flying a 1280 board. Work is crazy for the past and next few months, so…"

Bart commented on Bart's blog post Copter-GCS now supports MAVLink
"To be honest, I have only ever used the library on android, building it using "ndk-build" in the android NDK. I haven't touched it in awhile though. I've not had this build error come up before.
Bart."

Bart commented on Ellison Chan's blog post Good Hobby CNC Machine
"I recently got a Probotix Fireball V90. It'll do the carbon fiber / delrin easily enough.
Aluminum I hear might be possible at slow rates, but not recommended. Its not a bad price."

No argument about the cowboy/commercial comment giving a bad rep, that indeed is a problem, as is the crashing in populated areas, regardless of commercial or…"

"Yup :) Just got back the word that the new code is working (my copter is using the 1280 board).
Check the downloads section for version 9, which is running MAVLink 1.0
Cheers,

For the rest, I certainly intend to improve the code this summer (its winter here atm, and -16....), as I have moved…"

Bart commented on Shannon Morrisey's blog post Android App for Controlling Arduino via Bluetooth
"@Grips If you are looking to do PID tuning, copter-gcs will let you do that through bluetooth already. I haven't tested for planes (should work with the widgets, and certainly works using the Mavlink params mode), but it works well for copters. It…"
