"I am curious what more you want that the DJI Phantom Vision+ does not have? The Vision+ has power, speed, a nifty gimbal and excellent video and still camera. It has First Person View with full camera control. It's flight times are excellent. It's…"
"I suggest you switch drones like I did. The Y6 is too heavy for long duration flight. I now fly the DJI phantom vision+ and get 20+ minutes of flight time carrying a great camera and gimbal. I have parked my Y6 in the attic."
"Our Y6 had a similar problem. We gave it more power and got it into the air and out of ground effect. It never turned over although it appeared at first that it wanted to. Don't nurse it. Be bold!"
I use DroidPlanner with my Y6. Is there a easy was to see how long a set of mission waypoints will take to complete? Clearly, if I know the drone speed and the meters to be flown, I can calculate this. I don't know the Y6 speed. Is there an easy way…
"Greg can you post some close up photos of how you used the switch cover plastic and how it connects to Y6 deck. Then show us how the Tarot damper layer connects. Thanks."
"We are newbies and after some study we understood the logic of the channel 3 Failsafe and how the transmitter is central making the threshold work. We used this knowledge tonight and think we have mastered this important Failsafe. We performed the…"
"We have a Futaba 8J and the Pixhawk in a Y6 configuration. We had similar trouble as you described while building the kit. We first wired the Futaba receiver to the Pixhawk S. bus port. The receiver and tranmitter would not link. So, we switched the…"
Attention Greg KosinI thought your message about making the camera aim where we want it that you sent yesterday would solve the problem. Your steps were copied by us off line - no quad connected using Mission a Planner as well as APM 2.0; we could…
I would like to hear if there is room under the Y6 for the common brushless gimbal like the Tarot or DJI's gimbal. It is difficult to judge from the photos on 3DRobotics site photos.Secondly, how is the gimbal powered? It's own battery?
Does the Y6 have sufficient ground clearance for the common type Brushless gimbal used for GoPro cameras? It is difficult to tell from the stock photos.
