Transmitter Advice

I am just starting out (in the planning stage) with UAV and FPV flying. I have been looking around at the equipment I would need and I have run into one conundrum: I need a transmitter/receiver pair for control, telemetry, and video. From what I have

Z sensor schematic

I've decided to build a UAV from scratch using thermopiles to determine attitude.  I already have an xy sensor from FMA, but I don't have a z sensor.  I do have two thermopiles to use.  I'd rather not calibrate every time I want to fly or risk weathe

PARKZONE Radian

Calibrate mode

IDEA: add a mode in Ardupilot 2.6 that will automatically tune PID gains and trim the servos while in flight. (Calibration)

Is there enough attitude and position information to do this?  In theory, we want a relationship between servo positions and a

Worth a try?

I'm really fascinated by the idea of having my own UAV in the air. But I'm not only wondering where I should start but if it's worth a try.

Aims:

  • Building a quadcopter
  • Equip it with a camera
I would like to fly an DSLR (0.9 - 1kg) but as a start I could
