DraganFlyer Vi Conversion

Has anyone (or better, who has) done an ArduPilot conversion for an old DraganFlyer V?  I have one - flies like crap because it's got brush motors and old electronics - the frame is pretty solid though, so, I want to make it useful.

I am having problem loading(running) Mission Planner. I open the folder Mission Planner 1.1.40.

Optimum boom length for hexa copter

I was just wondering if there is an optimum boom length for hexacopters if it's a by case kind of thing. I ask because I am using 450 size booms and when I add the motor to the end, the boom sags. Anyone have any suggestions?  

[Solved] Can't download my logs from mission planner - APM2 (Grrrr!!)

I've been trying everything I can to get the logs off my APM2. I erased the logs with the Logs > Erase command in the CLI. Flew for 3 minutes or so, connect again and then when I go to the terminal tab of Mission Planner 1.1.40, I click Log Download

Board coating

Is there an anti-static coating that can be put on APM2, or APM 1?  Are there components other than the barometer that cant be coated?  Just asking as I'm tired of commiting ESD crimes against my APM!

I have a 206T, but I think most Cessna or trainers like it would have similar airframes.  Did APM/APM2 work for you out of the box?

I'm having a issue with one of my APM1 boards.

The handtest shows that the quad wants to make a lot of movement in random directions.

First of all the compass states 'not healthy' with CLI test. I desoldered the mag and want to test the APM on its own.

[Solved] Can't connect to APM2 with Mission Planner?

Plugged in APM2 with supplied USB cord,

loaded the driver from the wiki onto Win XP,

checked port & port baud in device manager, port 6 & 115200

started MP v1.1.40, set Port (6) and Baud (115200)

Click connect, this times out, on the terminal window:
