Please tell us a bit about your UAV interest

I have always had interest in UAVs for as long as I have known myself. When I was a kid, not only UAVs but even R/C aircrafts were almost impossible to get. Nowadays with the advance technology, there is a big hope for the civilian users like us. I am happy and optimistic about civilian UAV development. I am mostly interested in traditional heli UAVs but any type of UAV could be in my interest...

"Yes that's the difference Richard. Position Hold is basically a Loiter mode with pitch/roll control response similar to that of a stabilize mode. In Loiter mode, the stick input tells the FC how fast the vehicle needs to move proportional to control…"

"well, actually this seems easier than the CLI. Maybe I should give it a try someday:)
Thanks..."

"I never tried but you should be able to download your logs through MP as Randy mentioned.
I understand where you are coming from though. I am also so used to using CLI, I like to keep using it instead. One of the reasons why I am still with pre AC…"

Alex O. replied to Randy's discussion Copter-3.3 beta testing
"I go down to 3.3v per cell as well. It is perfectly fine to me under load. Going 3.5v per cell is also okay but anything more than that is a bit too conservative to me.
Obviously when I give my answer I consider one will land soon after the 3.3v per…"

"Geert is correct but I didn't understand how Paul said " Arducopter V3.2.1 gave no problems"!..
The last release version that used the terminal to download the logs were 3.1.5. Terminal removed after that.
AC 3.2.1 should be same as AC 3.3 rc5 as…"

"Hey Rainer,

After watching the video you posted, I came a cross the below one.
Many people saying it is fake. I don't know why would someone go through all hassles to make a fake video. These things happening even with super expensive systems…"

"I find this as a very constructive criticism. Emin is right in many points.
And I sadly see the same thing he does: Many people out there fly DJI stuff and swear on it. Just because it is more expensive, they classify DJI equipment as professional.…"

So it is still flying!..:)"

"Richard, you installed AC 3.3 rc5 on APM 2?
I was thinking that the highest compatible version of AC for APM 2.x is AC 3.2.1"

"These kind of systems will even get cheaper. One day everybody will be able to afford some brand or another.
I remember the systems like Micropilot, Hellicomand Profi/GPS and as such years ago when these systems were just coming onto the market.…"

"Air pressure will not be different above (at your take off point) or beyond the cliff. Thus your barometer should read the same value and should not register any altitude difference once you go over the cliff and expose your copter to 20m…"

Alex O. replied to Randy's discussion ArduCopter-3.2 beta testing
"3.2 should be as stable as 3.1.5. I say "should" because I never tried it. I am on 3.1.5 as you are.
3.2 gives a few good features like hybrid mode, spline waypoints and EKF. To me the most important of all is the EKF but it won't work on APM. AC…"
