"I had the same issue with an APM 2.5 I borrowed. The problem went away when I replaced it with a Pixhawk (possibly not the most helpful answer sorry!)."
"I think I'm noticing a similar problem. I hooked up my Pixhawk over the weekend for the first time. I can calibrate my ESCs fine. When I hold the safety switch and arm it for the first time, throttle behaves as expected.
"If you have a 3dr power module, that cable is redundant.
It's 5v when I measured it, so assume it was powering the apm at some point. Perhaps just an evolutionary relic?"
"Yep. It's a bit shaky when in ground effect. You learn over time to get it off the ground quick (once you have confirmed the sticks are doing the right thing)."
"Yeah, unless they have been hot glued those wires are a ticking time bomb. Had two of them pop off during my first build before it was even in the air."
"The plate is fibreglass and can be cut easily with a cheap dremel tool from your local hardware warehouse. I've used the 561 bit to drill holes and cut chunks out of it. Don't cut too much out :)
I had to lose the deans on the pdb to get enough…"
Have any 2013 Y6'ers converted to the Y6B prop config? I'm wondering if it's been tested with APM 2.x or just PX4 and what sort of efficiency gains there might be. Looked at it last night but it looks like I'll need another small pusher and large…
"Didn't think of hot glue. Good advice. Ended up resoldering the whole board after both the APM power cables and a couple of the control wires came off during installation."
