I'm in the process of fine-tuning the PID values on acro and stable mode. I'll be flying FPV, and I think I will always fly in stable mode. Thus my question is: is there any point in fine-tuning the acro PIDs? Do they affect stable mode at all?
I have APM with MTK GTPA010 with v1.6 firmware. Light on GPS is solid blue. APM GPS test shows goot lat and long values. HK GCS show aircraft drifting a few degrees every few seconds......
In HK GCS i show no lock and zero satellites. I see in the
I did the maiden flight this evening with the APM. I’m using ArduPilotMega 1.02 version dated 10 Jan’11. I have MTK GPS module configured with GPS_PROTOCOL_MTK (not MTK16). I followed all the protocol and everything seems to work OK. The start up seq
bGatti recently made a post that got me thinking: given the plethora of information captured during logging manual flights, could one run a post-analysis (a bunch of linear regressions?) to infer the in-flight characteristics of a plane. Then the op
Has anyone successfully used the MikroKopter ESCs and power distro board with arducopter?
My hexa uses 2 x arducopter quad power distro boards and 6 ESC and it looks like a message with cables everywhere, and the distro boards stacked on top of each
We are providing the proper voltage supply to the main board (right around 7.5V), yet the port where we supply voltage to the XBee on the plane is only outputting 0.5V. Any ideas why? The board is soldered properly.
So I have the board up and running and the configurator returning good values. The transmitter also appears to be sending a good signal. The problem is that whenever I turn the throttle up on all 4 motors, 2 will always lose power very slowly. This i
If for some reason radio transmission is disrupted and never re-established, what is the impact on the arducopter (arducopter not in GPS nor Altitude hold running either on arducopterNG or the ardupiratesNG code) ... I mean will the copter drops from
I am currently in a group project building an UAV and I am required to find a camera system that will work for our UAV design. I have a max budget of £100 and I need help. The problem is that we are using a Xbee module as our telemetry system
Our team has been trying to get the Ardupilot 2.7 code loaded onto our board but for some reason we are not being successful. The anomalies we have been getting are the following:
1) Once the board is powered for the first time after soldering everyt
One of the things that we fight in electric flight is the efficiency of the electric motor. Even the good off the shelf stuff is frequently not at its best as a trade off in manufacturing cost and longevity of a product. This fellow at fly electric w
