I'm new to this forum, but I've already learned quite a bit from all of you. Here goes my (probably) embarrassing question: my Y6 OSD/FPV kit didn't come with a cable to charge the 900mAh LiPo batteries for the transmitter and receiver. Do I n
My 3DR kit Y6 crashed, and the motor wires on one motor were snapped off during impact. The instructions say to have the wires pointed outboard on the arm as in the photo from the PDF assembly instructions.
I'm wondering if it's possible to do the initial setup and tuning, including ESC calibration, of a new Y6 -or any other copter using APM- using only the telemetry radios.
I have a couple of motors and the mounting threads started to become stripped. I used the little aluminum "+" brackets that come with the motors in place of the fiber board discs that come in the 3D Robotics Y6 kit. Because they can mount flush, you
I decided to convert my Y6 to the new frame 10 option. Of course, the motor cables from the ESCs were only reachable by taking it apart, top frame off the bottom frame. I labeled them as they were, disconnected, then re-connected in the new positio
Attention Greg KosinI thought your message about making the camera aim where we want it that you sent yesterday would solve the problem. Your steps were copied by us off line - no quad connected using Mission a Planner as well as APM 2.0; we could no
If I wanted to create waypoints around a picturesque light house how do I set up the waypoints so the camera is always pointing at the light house? I am a newby so I don't know what mission planning command applies to this example. Experts out there,
I will build a Y6 and do Mission Planning via a Mac laptop. I am wondering if there are any differences between the Mac version and the Windows version? Are Mac users satisfied with the functionality of the Mac version? The reason I ask is I could us
Does the Y6 have sufficient ground clearance for the common type Brushless gimbal used for GoPro cameras? It is difficult to tell from the stock photos.
Not sure how to post actual video but here is a youtube link of my Y-6 and a friend's Quad flyn around, another friend did the video.... We set them up with both video and FPV and are a blast to fly....Thanks to this community, developers, and hobbyi
"MOT_SPIN_ARMED" Not working for me In 3.1 Firmware
As 3.1 release it has written that When you armed it will spin motors on specific speed but that is not working for me. Can any one knows why it is not working.
Hi I am pretty new to the forum and yesterday I had my first crash of my brand new Y6. I built this from scratch, and had flown it 6 times. Since the first flight I had sudden pitch movements/glitches but they went away after less than a minute of th
I'm finishing up my Y6 build and noticed that there's an extra red/black thin power cable coming out of the power harness that isn't in the pics or setup guide.I'm guessing its an alternative to the power module cable that plus in inline with the bat
I'm sure this is something that I am simply overlooking but rebuilding and searching for a fix has left me without an answer. Hoping some of you experienced with the Y6 can point me in the right direction.
I am troubleshooting some crashes we've experienced with the Y6 in LOITER mode. When we switch to LOITER, we see the 'toilet bowl' effect despite having performed the LIVE and COMPASSMOT calibrations successfully. We tried the third recommended optio
Though I fly Sky-hero Spy (Y6 configuration), it is relevant to the 3DR Y6:
Initially I connected the 6 motors as suggested in the APM Copter instructions. The copter was unstable, throttle reaction was very sensitive and yaw was terrible.
Thanks in advance. I have the Y6 complete kit from 3D Robotics that I just finally got around to building. I have an APM2.6 with the external compass etc.. For some reason, I can't get all the motors to spin in test mode through the CLI.
