It's come to my attention tonight that the APM2 has a 500mah fuse. I was planning to run Servos for the gimball directly from the APM but at stall they would pull 4A and obviously blow the fuse.
I see that with the latest firmware, the 3DR radios default to 57600 baud rate. Is there any advantage or disadvantage to setting them to 115200? Less range or reliablility?
I getting tied of replacing props. I just finished putting together a new 3DR Quad. But every time I try to fly it, it flips on the ground and breaks a prop. Can someone take a look at the logs and tell me what's wrong?
Is there a way to overlay the gps data onto a still image from the uav .
Instead of using live video and a osd I want to use a still camera such as a Canon powershot s90 and overlay the gps information onto the image before transmiting to ground.
I've never been able to get geofencing to work. I was hoping that in ver 1.29 just released it might work but I've just tested at the field and I can't get it to work. I'm using a stock 3DR quad with APM 2.51 board.

I am a mechanical engineering student at Wright State University and am currently working on two "drone" projects. The first one is a UAV plane used to collect sensor data from the air after another plane has completed crop dusting.
I'm wondering if it is possible to use SITL with X-Plane instead of the other sims in the tutorial. I'm awaiting my APM 2.5 and want to try out the APM on a UAV that I created in PlaneMaker. I'm decent with Linux and Windows so any advice that some
I'm fabricating a new quad frame, and I want to mount an APM 2.5 on the bottom, upside down, facing forward, of course. Can this be done? Is there a setting in MP, or will it think it is upside down and FLIP-OUT? I can save some weight and less parts

I have a Hitec Optima 7 Rx using something called the SPC port, basically the receiver has 2 power sources, 12.6V for the radio side straight from the flight battery and
Hi guys I have just finished building a Tri for a change (custom) and have put my APM 2 on it. I connected to mission planner and updated firmware with the correct Tri firmware.I also installed the props as per the wiki so I shouldn't need to change
So I've been building a hexacopter. Today, after 4 semi-successful flights (only small crashes) my APM2.5 suddenly can't connect to the software anymore. I've done all the normal troubleshooting (restart, trying different USB ports, disconnecting a
