I received a magnetometer last month and soldered it to my IMU instead using a cable. I've calibrated it until the offsets stopped changing but every time I fly it I get a twitching left and right. Sometimes even a 180° turn and I will have to turn i
After all the efforts and the wonderfull help from Chris and Alex we got the simulation and everything working last night. Today a new issue arised. When trying to read or write waypoints to the APM I get the following message in APM Mission Planner
I'm looking for log files of different setup. I'm doing a project in a control system class where I'm analysind the behaviour of the airplane to model it.
I mostly need the *.log file from the APM Planner, but you can also post you kml and kmz fi
Check out this image. When I engage GPS hold, my quadcopter begins this spiral to try and find its way back to the hold position. I have to believe this is caused by a bad compass heading. However I have calibrated the compasses and also set the magn
Help please, I cant get my simulation going as per the manual
I am running Windows 7 and X-Plane 9.21rc2, set with all the settings as per the manual (see image) , APM Planner 0.4.19 Build 0.4.4125.34330 and my Ardupilot Mega 1.4 updated to Ardupilot
Hi all,I have a hobby zone super cub, one of the newer BNF versions with real 3 wire servos. I replaced the combined esc/receiver with a turnigy 30A one and a spetkrum 6 channel rec. With ardupilot mega 2.012 installed it works well. However, when I
By now I got my quadcopter flying very nice in stable mode. I want to process now to the altitude and position hold mode and would like to know a bit more about the PID settings.
Are the PID values for position hold close to the ones for stable mode?
I've tried all the available versions of the code and the roll is always inverted. When I turn right, for exemple, the log file and the ground station show that I'm turning left.
Is there a special configuration I have to do to invert the roll?
the instructions in the .pde for magcalibration have me a bit confused.it gives the following example in the pde comments---Example: Magnetic north calibration show -1.2 degrees offset and declination(true north) is -5.6 then the MAGCALIBRATION shoul
I'm building a hexacopter with ArdupiratesNG code downloaded from Tortoise SVN. My equipment is a Ardupilot Mega 1280, ArduPilot Mega IMU Shield/OilPan Rev-H V1.0, RCtimer motors and ESC's, Futaba 2.4 Ghz 7channel radio.
I am attempting to plan an ArduPilot mission and am having some difficulty. What I have done is first I select and write waypoints to my ArduPilot Board (328 Red Board) using the Config Utility Software program. After this I open up the LabVI
After a while, I am trying to get my APM´s running. Sometimes the APM´s restart by themselfe. I bought a really good and strong ESC, so power should not be a problem. What I can say, is that when I test the stabilization mode on the bench (rotating th
I had hoped to be able to use a 433MHz module by Low Power Radio Solutions as my link between the HKGCS and my Ardupilot Mega. Initially the modules seemed to work well but when I tried it with version 2.012 the link was very unreliable. I am running
