hey guys, i have built an IMU of my own design into my homebrew RC system on a fixed wing airframe. i am using a MMA7260 accelerometer on an ebay "prototype PCB" along with some rate Gyros for the IMU which is proving quite robust while gliding.
I'm working with IMU3000 though EV_INVARM and I want to receive accelerometer + gyro information when I turn on IMU3000. Board is just sending gyro data:

What's a nice starter kit for getting into Arduino programming? I'm looking for something that can get me going as I figure out more, and that includes enough components "in the box" so I can blink an LED, etc.
I have a quick (and proberly stupid) question. I have written some code to read the PWM signal from an rc receiver. See below. As expected the data ranges are from 900 to 2000, or 0.9ms to 2.0ms. I would like to run a loop in the arduino (which co
I have a problem. My design of UAV doesn't have Rudder and Aileron and i only have an elevator for doing roll, pitch and yaw (See the attachment). Therefore, i need to figure out a way to get change in Yaw and Roll in software and hardware. If i
I have experimented with Uavdb2 only a little bit, and am wondering if the attitude that is stored in the first 10 seconds is being relied upon on for the entire flight.
Do the acellerators only determine the default attitude for each flight?
I was wondering if there is a way to use the AeroQuad Configurator with the ArduCopter?? The AQC has a bunch more features and seems more newbie friendly. Please let me know if this is possible to do.
We have a $2,500 student grant to experiment with using a UAV guided via telemetry or FPV for wild horse counting. Our initial approach is that of a "CropCam" type of set up but with Head Tracking FPV as well to double up on the counting.
Hi, is it possible to get some idea of when we will be able to place orders for kits again, and how soon after that they would ship? E.g. Would it still be possible to get one before Xmas?
I am new to forum and doing the ArduPilot Mega project. I looked at the manual and project page. There are slightly different than each other. Which one should i do? I don't have a lot of knowledge in this project. My list of components are at t
So, I've been digging into the ArduPilotMega (Beta 1.0) code to get a better understanding of how it works. I figure that it will help out in troubleshooting any problems I might have, but the real reason is that I'd like to modify the code to suit m
I am making my UAV using the Ardu Pilot Megga, so far so good, I am looking to by a nice Video camera for the aircraft, does anyone know of a great system that works well?
I am going to build my own quad. But i need alot of basic information, which i can not find.
I know there is alot of info, but i need really basic information. I do not know anything about which ampere on esc and which motor i should choose and so on
Hello to all DIY Drones members! I'm fairly new to the UAV sphere but am actively working on expanding my knowledge base. Before I shoot with my question, I'd like to congratulate everyone on this amazing mecca of information.
Actually Im wornking on 4 TNY Plush 30A mods! but I have a question for someone who wanna help me in this... Im trying to desolder the voltage regulators but i think my technique is not working... I applied heat with the soldering iron on top of them
I see from the UAVDevBoard detail that it is capable of controlling three servos and although further servos can be used they have to go via the radio.
Looking at the datasheet of the dsPIC30f4011 is there not the facility to have more than three auto
